Bare Bones
Bare Bones is an event that brings spoken word artists and performance poets to the stage for a dynamic and thought-provoking evening at mac birmingham.
As part of “What’s The Agenda?” Cannon Hill Collective’s eagerly anticipated festival of art for social change, the mac gang invitied selected performance artists to respond to one or all of the following themes:
The Hikikomori
Loneliness
A rchival Activis m
Heritage
Sexual objectification
The selected artists, including myself, drew upon personal experience and / or the media as a stimulus, to respond to those subjects listed above. The contributions to the eclectic evening were all brand new works, showcased to get people thinking about these subjects.
The event took place in the Foyle Studio at mac birmingham on Sunday 30 March 2014.
